NEWS July 26th 2026 Another one of the original Vixens has passed away, earlier this month - Laurie Hedlund, one half of the double drumming team in Vixen back in the early 70s. RIP. This only leaves the other drummer, Marlene Peterson. One other show that seems to have flown in under the radar - Vixen at Diamond Jo Casino, Dubuque, IA on October 10th. July 20th 2026 Vixen are included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Women in Metal exhibit. Featured are Roxy Petrucci's autographed drumsticks and Britt Lightning's custom Eddie Carlino guitar. Share has posted a previously unreleased song from 30 years ago by her and Bam's band Subcool (after Vixen but before Bubble). Check it out on Bandcamp, with the story behind the song on Facebook. February 11th 2026 Vixen will be back at the Whisky A Go-Go on October 29th. Madam X will be playing at the MORC pre-cruise party on April 11th. January 30th 2026 New music is coming from Vixen ... they have been in the studio recording according to this Facebook post. There is a review and photos of the Wolf Den show at All Music Magazine. January 20th 2026 Julia is now officially an American citizen. Filling in for her at the Jan 8th Tupelo Music Hall show while she took her oath was Jennifer Oberle. More Vixen shows for _this_ year are April 10th - The Newberry, Great Falls, MT And Vixen will finally play in the UK again! This will be the "Girl's Night Out" with Lita Ford. Dates are July 23rd - Wolverhampton, KK's Steel Mill and July 24th - London, indigo at The O2. December 20th 2024 First Vixen gig of the year looks like it will be Friday January 24th, at Spokane Tribe Casino, Airway Heights, WA with Stephen Pearcy of Ratt. November 30th 2024 Another member of the original line up of Vixen has died, bass guitarist and vocalist Gayle Erickson as she was in the band, later Gayle DeMatoff. She passed at home on November 24th after a brief illness. RIP Gayle, Jan and Cindy (far left, centre, far right).
Vixen will be playing with Doro at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL on September 6th next year! November 23rd 2024 The annual Vixen show at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun will be on March 8th in 2025. Julia is in the video for the new Smith/Kotzen song, White Noise. November 16th 2024 The first Vixen show announced for 2025 (apart from the Monsters of Rock Cruise) is in Canada. This is at Niagara Falls on April 19th at the OLG Stage, Fallsview Casino & Resort, with Great White and Slaughter. Both Julia and Rosa are going to give online masterclasses for Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp. These are on November 23rd and 26th. October 24th 2024 Due to an unforeseen medical issue with Roxy, Vixen were not able to perform at the last show scheduled for the year, Oct 19th in Biloxi, MS with Stephen Pearcy. Thankfully Vixen have posted an update to say that all is well. There is a recent interview with Britt on the Honest AF Show, talking about Vixen and Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, etc. September 19th 2024 Here's an interview with Rosa on how she became the new Vixen singer & more, on Waste Some Time with Jason Green. Videos from Youtube : June 21st 2024 The new Vixen singer is Rosa Laricchiuta, known in the rock world for singing with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and most recently, Headpins - a Canadian rock band who also once featured Chrissy Steele, another vocalist Roxy has worked with. June 20th 2024 Watch an interview with Britt on Battleline Podcast on Youtube. In particular she talks about the new 'mystery' singer, debuting at the show tomorrow. Britt wasn't involved in the decision and hasn't jammed or hung out with her yet, but Roxy is more familiar with her as a person. Well, we'll find out who it is soon enough ... May 31st 2024 Apologies for no news updates/catching up on some things. Firstly the big news is that Vixen has a new singer. They have parted ways with Lorraine, her statement is on e.g. Instagram here. Speaking of shows, Vixen do have a number coming up this summer and beyond. The current list is : A couple of little articles: Share is featured in "Why Rock Stars Are Becoming Realtors" at Rolling Stone, and Maxine is featured in "4 of the Most Underrated Guitarists of All Time" at American Songwriter.
